Hi. My name is Alex Fenton and I run Fentek Audio. Based in Edinburgh, I offer location recording, sound engineering and music production services.
I speak to a lot of musicians and hear a lot of different viewpoints on studio recording and sound engineers. There is plenty of choice in recording services, most with fantastic facilities, but recording is more than just the gear you use. The people you work with make all the difference. I want to tackle recording and production in a different way. I have experience and training in all areas of music, and believe that music deserves to be understood. That’s why I always make an effort to understand the identity of the musicians and the music so I can approach the recording process in an inventive and suitable way.
